Robert J. Cleveland, LCSW is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to adult residents in California, Connecticut, Minnesota and Maine. He has a vast array of clinical interests; however, his specializations are adult psychotherapy, mood disorders, addiction disorders, personality disorders, relationship/communication struggles, cognitive behavioral therapy and LGBTQ issues. Robert believes in treating the entire individual (physical, mental and spiritual wellness). Often a problem/resolution approach is needed to begin to remove or mitigate barriers that will make it more difficult for the patient to move forward towards their therapy goals.

Robert has always had a passion for helping people and at age 17 he volunteered at the first HIV/AIDS supportive living home in Hartford, CT and at age 18 was the Volunteer Coordinator for Manchester Area Network on AIDS in Manchester, Connecticut where he was raised.

Robert has walked through many of his own fears in life and has come out on the other side. He prides himself on being aware of each person’s uniqueness, upbringing, age, culture and other factors that have shaped and impact the person that he is working with in therapy.
