Gina Mendez is a board certified clinical social worker offering services to children and adult residents of California. She has experience in the provision of care for many psychological conditions not limited to: anxiety disorders, mood disorders and trauma.
Gina has an extensive range of specialties and experiences that she has gained over her 10 years of practice providing services to all ages across various psychiatric settings. These specialties include dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dual diagnosis, and play therapy. Gina is skilled in eliciting willingness for positive change in her clients. In her sessions, she conveys a confidence in their abilities that allows her to effectively build a strong therapeutic alliance.

Dr. Monica Nichols is a California native and board-certified psychiatrist. Dr. Nichols provides psychiatric services to individuals residing in California and Washington who are aged five and up. Clinical interests and specialization includes child and adolescent psychiatry, cognitive behavioral therapy, mood disorders (depression and bipolar), anxiety disorders and psychotic disorders (schizophrenia and schizoaffective). Dr. Nichols prefers to take a holistic approach to treatment. She does not see medication as the complete answer to mental health issues, but as a piece of the puzzle. Dr. Nichols also seeks to address behavioral issues that are affecting her patients’ mental health.
During her education and training, she found mental and behavioral health issues more interesting and fulfilling to treat, as they have such an impact on quality of life.
