Cynthia Martin is a licensed clinical social worker offering services to adolescents and adults in Washington. She has a variety of clinical interests; however, she specializes in anxiety disorders, cognitive behavioral therapy, post-traumatic stress disorder and stress management. In her practice, Cynthia’s approach to care includes providing a supportive, non-judgmental, collaborative environment for healing, positive change and happiness. She works with patients to find the inner strength to build resiliency. Cynthia’s goal as a therapist is to create a therapeutic alliance with clients with the belief that the client is the expert of their life.
Cynthia’s interest in mental and behavioral healthcare developed in school. During her undergrad and post-graduate, she had the honor of working with teens, children, families, and adults with a wide range of issues that related to behavior challenges, self-esteem, identity, relationships, self-harm, medical, trauma, abuse, substance abuse and surviving domestic violence. She realized what a positive difference a therapeutic relationship can foster in youth and adults.
Cynthia loves being outside, going for hikes, camping and gardening. One thing on her bucket list is to fly in a hot air balloon.
