Case Study
Array provides increased access to care and improved behavioral health outcomes to your community by harmonizing culturally sensitive behavioral health clinicians into tribal health and wellness centers through telehealth.
Tribal communities we serve include:
Array leadership and hand-selected clinicians have vast personal and professional experience working with unique patient populations—including tribal communities. And they have an extensive understanding of behavioral health conditions that are commonly found within these communities.
Our clinical leadership has experience in delivering behavioral care in tribal settings, and our director of tribal partnerships has 20+ years of experience in behavioral health program administration, is a Sicangu Lakota, and is a member of the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians.
Although virtual, your telebehavioral health program is rooted in your onsite clinic, with services delivered directly into your health center. Both your staff and patients become familiar with your Array clinician through consistent interaction, collaboration and shared use of easy-to-use video platforms and your very own EHR.
Array clinicians are consistently available at the same time every week and are matched to your member patient population based on their conditions and challenges. With experience in tribal communities across the United States, Array understands the importance of long-term partnerships and solutions that help tribal communities overcome barriers to the recruitment and retention of clinicians who deliver needed care.
Hand-picked clinicians with experience delivering care within tribal communities. Array will take the time to learn about your community and provide an opportunity for you to interview matched clinicians to ensure a good fit.
Starting from scratch or growing your current program? Array will work with you to right-size your program to deliver the care and support you and your members need.

Providing convenient remote access to appropriate psychiatric and mental health care helps employers in many ways, including:
Behavioral health issues—such as depression, anxiety, and marriage/family stress—can cost your organization significant amounts of time, money and resources each year. When employees are suffering from a behavioral health condition, they’re more likely to be disengaged, miss deadlines, and use more sick days. Without proper treatment, the negative impact of behavioral health conditions can continue for prolonged periods of time. And that’s not good for your organization or for your employees.
By partnering with Array, you can provide your employees convenient remote access to the behavioral care they need—and they can access it from anywhere without taking off work time to get to appointments. For many, this helps remove barriers to seeking treatment, including the stigma that’s often associated with behavioral health conditions.
Telebehavioral health care is a perfect way for you to enhance your benefits programs and show your employees that you value their mental well-being at work.

By providing access to telebehavioral health, you increase your ability to reach underserved members, while also meeting the needs of members who want on-demand access to quality care. These services not only improve member retention and loyalty but also save money.
Why Consider Telebehavioral Health?
There are a variety of reasons payers decide to include telebehavioral health as an option for their members. They realize it:
You have many options when it comes to choosing your telebehavioral health service provider. So, what makes Array the right choice? Let’s start with these:
We offer two distinct telebehavioral health service models so you can choose the best fit for the needs of your members.
So that your members have enhanced access to care, we offer appointments from 7 a.m. - 11 p.m. every day of the week.
In addition to support from our care navigation team, your clinical care managers can directly help your members find the right clinician by conducting searches by state, clinician type, service, specialty and clinician background. Additionally, they have direct access to appointment availability and they can schedule appointments on behalf of your membership.
Our clinicians will be in direct contact with your members’ primary care providers. This includes sending post-session notes that detail diagnoses and prescriptions.
We provide screening tools, outcomes measurement and member engagement. See regular patient population data in a customized dashboard on behavioral health measures including PHQ9, GAD7 and BHI and engagement measures including NPS, no shows, appointment history and more.
This credentialing allows us to delegate enrollment and provide fast implementation.

Whether its geographic barriers caused by their remote location or the apprehension of clinicians to care for offender populations, a correctional telepsychiatry program will help facilities bypass the challenges of finding behavioral health clinicians who are qualified, willing and able to work in these settings. Array’s clinical, operational and technical experience in correctional mental health will ensure your facility delivers the required levels of care while minimizing transportation and personnel costs associated with offsite services.
With Array OnDemand Care, correctional facilities can have 24-hour coverage and access to psychiatric treatment within an hour on average. This allows your facility to be prepared for psychiatric crises and to address issues onsite, where inmates receive rapid care in a secure and familiar environment.
Array Scheduled Care ensures individuals who are at risk of future escalation and psychiatric emergencies receive routine psychiatric care. By enabling regular medication management, telepsychiatry can ultimately reduce the number of inmates on medication while cutting the amount spent on pharmaceuticals for those who truly need it.
Mental health disorders—including increasing numbers of suicide attempts— are common in correctional settings and the cost for treatment can be significant. By using telepsychiatry, transportation and supervision costs are reduced by providing timely psychiatric care and evaluation onsite. With an average of $2,600 spent for transportation and officer overtime, as well as the cost of a hospital stay, telepsychiatry can result in significant cost savings for your facility.
Whether your practice is looking to deliver direct patient care, support the primary care team through consultation, or have a behavioral health referral destination, Array can partner with you to form a program unique to the services you currently offer and want to build on.
To provide services directly from your practice, Array will match a consistent clinician or group of clinicians ranging from psychiatrists and psychiatric nurse practitioners to social workers and counselors.
Whether a single clinician or a team, Array Scheduled Care makes them available during regular blocks of time to perform their expected responsibilities, including assessments, medication management, participation in treatment team meetings and supervision.
Telebehavioral collaborative care sets out on a treat-to-target mission, where care plans are adjusted based on clinical outcomes and patient results. With a shared sense of accountability, Array’s consulting psychiatrist supports behavioral health elements of the plan while PCPs keep patients under their own direct care and maintain control of the comprehensive picture.
Through Array’s virtual approach to collaborative care, streamlining costs, facilitating connections to other behavioral health resources and activating new reimbursement streams becomes easier.
Array AtHome Care provides access to a major network of behavioral health clinicians who provide services directly into patient homes. By referring to Array, you can improve patient experience and reduce wait times by overcoming the need to identify a nearby specialist.
In today’s world, direct-to-consumers services are becoming the expectation. Work with Array to develop a program that allows for Array clinicians or your local clinicians to work all or partially from home while seeing patients remotely.
Array helps health systems increase access to modern behavioral health care in community-based settings like primary care, outpatient mental health centers and many other settings.

There simply aren’t enough psychiatrists to meet the growing demand for mental health services. Psychiatry patients often have to wait hours in the emergency department for evaluation or disposition. This leads to overcrowding, which is not only costly for hospitals, but also compromises quality of care and the quality of the overall patient experience.
With Array’s on-demand telepsychiatry services, the onsite care team at your hospital can connect seamlessly with our remote psychiatric professionals who can evaluate patients via video and determine appropriate disposition. This improves bed availability and care for everyone.
Our telepsychiatry clinicians can also initiate treatment from the hospital with a bridge back to a community resource. They also help hospitals and their staff conduct remote psychiatric consultation liaison services and can be used as a peer-to-peer consult resource to support strained and overextended in-person staff in the ED, on the med floors, and within psychiatric inpatient units.
Call on Array’s remote team of behavioral health clinicians to offset crisis moments with expertise.
Enable physicians and hospitalist staff to accurately diagnose and initiate treatment for patients with underlying behavioral conditions.
