Dr. Rau (he/him/his) completed the MD/PhD training program at University of Kentucky College of Medicine and has an excellent background in clinical research as well as medical leadership serving in the past as the Chief Resident for Education at the University of Virginia Health System, Clinical Director of the North Carolina Psychiatric Research Center, Associate Medical Director of the UNC STEP Community Clinic in Wake County, the Director of Medical Education for UNC’s Center for Excellence in Community Mental Health and a psychiatrist and Associate Medical Director of The Pavilion  at Williamsburg Place, a private, inpatient psychiatric facility in Williamsburg, VA.
