The leading telepsychiatry service provider expands its geographical footprint in Illinois by offering Array AtHome telepsychiatry to more than 9 million people across the state.

Mount Laurel, NJ – September 20, 2021 — Array Behavioral Care, the largest telepsychiatry practice in the country and a thought leader in modern behavioral care, announced today its new partnership with BlueCross BlueShield of Illinois (BCBS IL) to provide convenient online psychiatry and therapy services to BCBS Illinois members. Effective August 24, 2021, Array is a covered benefit for more than 9.3 million lives in Illinois through its relationships with healthcare payers. In addition to being in network BCBS IL, Array is an existing partner to 35 community clinics and two hospitals across Illinois.

Telebehavioral health has emerged as a modality of care delivery that payers have used to fill the gap between community needs and industry constraints. The increased demand for behavioral care services coupled with provider shortages has made it difficult for payers to meet the needs of their members. Through Array, BCBS IL members have access to a large network of licensed professional therapists and psychiatry clinicians to receive high-quality care.

With greater and more convenient access to care, BCBS IL is among many payers taking steps to expand coverage for telebehavioral services for their members during the pandemic and beyond the COVID-19 crisis. In addition to the partnership with BlueCross Blue Shield Illinois, Array Behavioral Care is in-network with the following health plans in Illinois: Aetna, Cigna, Cigna Medicare Advantage and Optum Healthcare.
